Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Devantech LTD is a small family owned company, started in 1983, incorporated in 1992 and moved from Diss in 2008 to our present location in Attleborough, Norfolk. As a small company we are committed to ensuring that slavery and human trafficking does not take place in our business.
Our company designs and produces electronic modules for industrial uses. We have distributors of our products across the world- Europe, USA, China,
Korea, Japan, Australia etc.
The staff we directly employ do so of their own free will and understand that they can cease employment at any time, subject to their employment contract. The wages of our staff all meet and exceed the statutory minimum requirements. We hold the correct documentation for our new recruits from 2015 onwards according to the government’s requirements for new employees. We try our best to ensure that all of our suppliers provide us with a copy of their Modern Slavery statement.
As a company Devantech LTD respects everyones human rights and will promote diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities to anyone that works within the company. This will also be applied when making decisions on hiring and promotions.
All staff are aware that they can speak to the directors/owners about any issues or concerns they may have, and staff are respected and treated equally. Staff are encouraged to express any concerns and these will be dealt with in confidentiality and a respectful manner. Staff are encouraged to read the policies and procedures that are in place and keep their knowledge up to date on current laws/guidance and staff will be expected to follow the guidelines set.
As a company we pride ourselves in building long standing relationships with manufacturers and suppliers, making our expectations of their business behaviour clear from the start. We expect suppliers to have suitable anti-slavery and human trafficking policies and procedures in place. Failure to comply with those expectations and anti-slavery laws could result in the removal from our preferred suppliers list.
We use the following measures to ensure that slavery is not happening:
- Use a Payroll system to ensure all employees are registered and paid correctly and fairly for the work that they do. Evidence of this is kept on the system.
- Building relationships/partnerships with the suppliers and ensuring they understand we have a zero tolerance for slavery or human trafficking.
- Ensure that employees know they can discuss any concerns about staff confidentially and in confidence.
